Editorial Reviews for “The Korpes File Series.”

Book 1

Published in March of 2017, book one of “The Korpes File Series” has had a great reception. Here is the collection of editorial reviews, reviews, and interviews I’ve done for “The Korpes File.”

Five Stars “…Its intelligent story-line only adds to depth of emotion the reader feels.  Not an easy book to read, it is nevertheless a page turner.  Complex and fascinating, the reader will discover more and more elements each time it is read…”

Five Stars “…The sci-fi piece is plainly at the core of the story, but J.I. Rogers fluidly incorporated levels of racism, love and corruption into the story-line as well. The Korpes File is sure to be a hit with sci-fi fans…”

Five Stars “…The futuristic and gritty setting is a strong pillar of The Korpes File…”

Five Stars “…Rogers’ amazing characters are built from the ground up. Their personalities are based as much on their generational histories and ethnic origins as much as the individual traits to which they are ascribed. The diversity of characters and situations that drive this plot-line forward, amidst a perfect storm of shocking and oftentimes devastating scenarios, causes cultural diversity to spur racial paranoia, impossible technologies to suddenly be made possible, and clashing personalities to find a way to mesh together despite their differences—allowing the main protagonists to somehow come together and work toward a common goal…”

Five Stars “…Few debut books attempt to achieve what J. I. Rogers set out to achieve, and even fewer are able to create a story that is so unlike everything else out there. The Korpes File is one such work and a stellar debut novel for Rogers…”

The Korpes File
Which line stood out from all the others in the book?
For the record, topside is overrated – it’s beautiful, green, but remember, everything up there wants to kill you.
General Summary for Context: An epic Science Fiction adventure that spans ten years in the life of Nash X. Korpes, a technician with an agenda. Concise Review: The Korpes File is an epic science fiction story revolving around Nash Korpes, a technician in the weapons department of the Korlune Military Research and Development’s recombinant genetics department. He is a Diasopran and is a lower rank in society, and without his knowledge, is subject to medical tests. The book spans ten years in his life and incorporates several character developments. Keeping track of everyone takes a lot of concentration, but it’s worth it as the world comes to life with Nash’s work, love life, and family. The book does leave many unanswered questions as Nash works on a final plan of his own to join the corporate world.
General thoughts on the Novel: The book was a struggle to get through at times. The world-building is extensive and very well-written. The characters are many, but once the story gets going and the characters are introduced, it flows adequately.

Book 2

Published in March of 2019, book two of “The Korpes File Series” is proving to be a worthy successor to book one. Here is the collection of editorial reviews, reviews, and interviews I’ve done for “The Korpes Agenda”

Five Stars“…  I enjoyed the fast pace of the story and how Nash seemed to be directing everything. He was the focal point of the story and he really lived up to it. He is such a human character; he had flaws, he had his quirks and he knew where his strengths lay. The overall atmosphere and the suspense had me reading on and wanting more. Very, very entertaining!”

Five Stars “…This being the second in a series, the author does an amazing job summarizing each character and pulling in quick but thorough elements from the first book in order to bring readers up to speed.
Science fiction fans will appreciate the technical aspects of Rogers’s work, and readers who seek a main character who provides the opportunity for psychological study will immediately be drawn to Nash Korpes...”
