First, let me start with a hearty “Mwahahahahaha.”
My inner Antagonist is having a rip-roaring good time with the story. For those who have roles in the series… be concerned. Diabolical things are in the works and my “Murder Board” is getting a lot of new post-its. So much is happening in The Seep, and it’s not even the long rains yet.
While I was dealing with my mild cold, I went through and tightened up what I’ve written so far, and I’ll send that off to my editor for final approval. There are fewer sections that say “basic notes: write me,” and the yellow highlight that means “You’ve changed this retroactively – remove or rewrite” have also decreased. I’m working on those now, and lining up my research for next week.
Notable points in that list are:

Tidy up affairs at Nekkaro Station.

Pull five storylines into two main ones, and then choose which one Nash will be dragged into (both work, so I’m letting circumstances dictate).

Plan an epic funeral.

Research safety protocols in large-scale epidemics.

Research how much weight a small transport can carry (unsafely)

Revamping World Anvil
Below, you’ll see some of the new headers and bits for Tamyrh on World Anvil. I’m rejigging the site to be more in tune with what’s happening in the story, and updating its image at the same time. I won’t be doing any meaningful content creation there until after I have book 3 in your hands, promise. I’m just digitally doodling as I let the story percolate.
